There’s a burgeoning members-only social club in the St. George area that gathers monthly throughout most of the year to enjoy preferred wines, arts and more recently to raise funds for local arts. According to its media release this week, the St. George Wine Club has distributed nearly $10,000 in its first fiscal year as a nonprofit organization.
The funds were given to support local arts, performing artists, education programs and underserved members of the community throughout Washington County, club Co-Director Doug Hamilton said in the release, with proceeds from the monthly social gatherings.
Within a year, as those friends invited other friends, the original group grew to approximately 50 people meeting monthly at each other’s residences. The St. George Wine Club was founded in 2011 by Phil Loomis, a retired high-tech executive who relocated from Seattle to Southern Utah with his wife, Kit. Seeking to connect with friends who shared their pas ...

Are you a "BABY BOOMER?" Then why aren't you considering buying a home using a Reverse Mortgage/HECM loan? HECM means Home Equity Conversion Mortgage or for short you can refer to it as the HP4 Program. If you or your spouse are 62 years or older you should definitely look into this program because it can increase your buying power which means you can purchase the home you REALLY want WITHOUT depleting your nest egg.
52 million Boomers surveyed are not living in a home that meets their lifestyle plan. The two reasons are: "I don't have enough cash to afford a new home", and "I can't qualify for a traditional mortgage." There are a lot of myths out there about the HP4 Program that are probably scaring you off. Not everything you read on the internet is true. You need to talk to a professional that knows ALL there is to know about this type of loan and then make an educated decision on whether this type of loan is right for you.
Do you know that qualifying for a reve ...

I have many clients ask me about the health care facilities and doctors here in St. George and surrounding areas. I am always very proud to tell them about our wonderful hospitals and doctors. Right now the Dixie Regional Medical Center is undergoing some major expansions. The expansion of the hospital is the largest construction project in Washington County's history. It is a 500,000 square foot expansion which includes a new state of the art cancer center, a newborn intensive care unit, housing services for women, children and newborns, a neuro-rehabilitation center for stroke and other neurologically impaired patients, same-day surgery, wound clinic, IV therapy, diabetes clinic, hyperberic medicine clinic and more.
We have a Life Flight helicopter based here at the IHC hospital and we are a level II Trauma Center. We have some of the best doctors in the entire state of Utah. US News ranked it the 3rd best hospital in the State as well as made the Becker's li. ...

The new St. George ALL ABILITIES park opened in December 2016. It is a great addition to our city but the most exciting part is the unique ways in which the park is set up to accommodate people of all ages and all abilities. Visitors can take a ride aboard a small-scale locomotive. A 20-foot faux volcano lights up and spews steam in a simulated eruption. Dinosaur-themed play equipment is fun for the kids to play on and the red-rock water feature shines with its pools and fountains.
Take a look at the website to find out more about yet another fun, outdoor adventure your family can go on here in Sunny St. George.

Happy New Year and welcome to 2017. If you are looking at buying, building or selling a home in 2017, I'm your person. You might be asking yourself why you would buy a home when the rates have gone up? Well, anything under 6% for a 30 year fixed mortgage is still a great rate and a great reason to buy. Your alternative is what...RENTING? Rents continue to reach an all time high throughout the country, it offers you no tax deductions and you have no protection against growing housing expense. Rising interest rates have historically been the result of a healthy economy and a thriving market, so we have a lot to be thankful for.
If you have any questions regarding a home you see on my website that you are interest in or about getting qualified for a loan, please shoot me an email or call me at 435-414-4048 and I'd be happy to answer your questions.
I can assist you in buying, building or selling a home anywhere in Southern Utah (including Sun River) or asn ...
