Weekly/Nightly Rentals in Southern Utah

Weekly/Nightly rental projects are on the rise in Southern Utah. Though St. George City has taken a hard stance on weekly/nightly rentals mixed in with single family residences they have approved 2 new weekly/nightly rental projects in the City since May of 2016.  “Our entire city is not a resort,” said Councilman Jimmie Hughes, who said he had no issues with the proposed development and thought it would have been done well but that he felt a responsibility to protect what the residents felt was important about the character of the area. This comment came at a City Council Meeting where a developer was attempting to get his weekly/nightly rental project approved.
Hurricane City passed an ordinance that all of City could use their homes as weekly/nightly rental properties unless otherwise specified in the subdivisions CCR's. After much backlash from residents the ordinance has been amended "in order to balance the right of property owners to use their property in all l ...

WINE ENTHUSIASTS..Did you know St. George has a Wine Club with over 1000 members and membership is FREE?

There’s a burgeoning members-only social club in the St. George area that gathers monthly throughout most of the year to enjoy preferred wines, arts and more recently to raise funds for local arts. According to its media release this week, the St. George Wine Club has distributed nearly $10,000 in its first fiscal year as a nonprofit organization.
The funds were given to support local arts, performing artists, education programs and underserved members of the community throughout Washington County, club Co-Director Doug Hamilton said in the release, with proceeds from the monthly social gatherings.
Within a year, as those friends invited other friends, the original group grew to approximately 50 people meeting monthly at each other’s residences. The St. George Wine Club was founded in 2011 by Phil Loomis, a retired high-tech executive who relocated from Seattle to Southern Utah with his wife, Kit. BABY BOOMERS...Retire in your DREAM home with no payments for life!

Are you a "BABY BOOMER?" Then why aren't you considering buying a home using a Reverse Mortgage/HECM loan? HECM means Home Equity Conversion Mortgage or for short you can refer to it as the HP4 Program. If you or your spouse are 62 years or older you should definitely look into this program because it can increase your buying power which means you can purchase the home you REALLY want WITHOUT depleting your nest egg.
52 million Boomers surveyed are not living in a home that meets their lifestyle plan.  The two reasons are: "I don't have enough cash to afford a new home", and "I can't qualify for a traditional mortgage." There are a lot of myths out there about the HP4 Program that are probably scaring you off. Not everything you read on the internet is true.  You need to talk to a professional that knows ALL there is to know about this type of loan and then make an educated decision on whether this type of loan is right for you.
Do you know that qualifying for a reve ...
