Health Care in St. George and surrounding areas.
I have many clients ask me about the health care facilities and doctors here in St. George and surrounding areas. I am always very proud to tell them about our wonderful hospitals and doctors. Right now the Dixie Regional Medical Center is undergoing some major expansions. The expansion of the hospital is the largest construction project in Washington County's history. It is a 500,000 square foot expansion which includes a new state of the art cancer center, a newborn intensive care unit, housing services for women, children and newborns, a neuro-rehabilitation center for stroke and other neurologically impaired patients, same-day surgery, wound clinic, IV therapy, diabetes clinic, hyperberic medicine clinic and more.
We have a Life Flight helicopter based here at the IHC hospital and we are a level II Trauma Center. We have some of the best doctors in the entire state of Utah. US News ranked it the 3rd best hospital in the State as well as made the Becker's list of 34 top-rated hospitals for hip replacement and they have the 12th lowest rate of heart failure patient readmission rate in the nation. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid ranked Dixie a 4-Star Hospital and Forbes named Intermountain as one of America's Best Employers among large U.S. companies.
Getting good, quality care in a timely manner should not be a concern when considering a move to Washington County.
